MIAC runner-up St. Thomas (12-3-3) was rewarded with an at-large berth into the Division III playoffs. Coach Sheila McGill's Tommies will travel to La Crosse, Wis., for a four-team regional. The games are tentatively set for Saturday and a single game on Sunday.

St. Thomas went unbeaten in its last six games to close the regular season (4-0-2). It tied Gustavus last week and lost the subsequent shootout in the conference playoff semifinals.

St. Thomas will face Wartburg (10-5-4) in its first regional game at a time to be announced. The teams played last month in Waverly, Iowa, with the Toms winning, 2-1.

UW-La Crosse (17-1-3) and St. Scholastica (13-6-3) play the other opening-round game.

The Tommies played both La Crosse and St. Scholastica in September, tying La Crosse and beating the Saints 4-0.
