Julie Lundquist joins the St. Thomas women’s soccer coaching staff for her first season in 2016. Lundquist brings over 20 years of coaching experience to the Tommies, ranging from ages youth through high school.
In her first season with the Tommies, they posted a 17-3-1 record after winning the MIAC regular-season title and receiving an at-large berth to the NCAA playoffs. In addition, Lundquist and the other St. Thomas coaches were honored as the Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
Julie currently serves as the Director of Player Development as well as a coach and trainer for the Prior Lake Soccer Club, a position she has held since 2003 working with youth ages 9-18. Julie also is a member of the MYSA coaching school staff, the Minnesota Olympic Development Program Evaluation Team, the Prior Lake High School Leadership Team, and is a Prior Lake Leadership Camp instructor.
Julie comes to St. Thomas after most recently leading the Prior Lake High School girl's soccer team, a program she took over in 2015 after serving as an assistant for the previous eight seasons, dating back to 2006.
Prior to her appointment to the Prior Lake girls soccer staff, Julie spent four years at Cogran Sports, a web-based software company for sports clubs and other organizations. At Cogran, she served as a Marketing and Sales Executive from 2005 to 2009, which included all sales, marketing, and messaging concerning the company.
Before her time at Cogran, Julie owned Savage Sisters Home and Garden Collections from 2003 to 2005. Lundquist was on the ground floor of the company, responsible for all aspects of the retail shop, including, but not limited to, sales, marketing, purchasing, and procurement of unique items.
Lundquist got her start in 1990 at Merck, a biopharmaceutical company, where she spent eight years as a Senior Cardiovascular Market Development Associate. Following her time at Merck, she opened a photography business, Julie Lundquist Photography, which she still owns.
A native of Bloomington, Minn., Julie earned a degree in English from the University of Minnesota in 1990, where she was a member of the women’s soccer team for three years.
Julie currently resides in Prior Lake, Minn., with her husband, Paul. They have three children; Megan (22), Mick (20), and McKenzie (18).
