Volleyball goes 4-0 on weekend at Oshkosh

No. 17-ranked Tommie Volleyball won two more matches on Saturday to cap a 4-0 weekend at the UW-Oshkosh tournament.

The Toms topped Maranatha Baptist, 25-13, 25-18, 25-17, and beat UW-Platteville, 25-20, 25-20, 25-18.

St. Thomas (19-4) got 10 kills, eight digs and three aces from Madie Kroehler and hit .351 in the win over Maranatha. Grace Bordson had nine kills and six blocks/

UST hit .271 against Platteville, as Kroehler had nine kills and two aces and Whitney Lloyd had seven kills and three blocks.

No. 17-ranked St. Thomas Volleyball ended a two-game losing streak with two wins Friday at the UW-Oshkosh tournament. UST closes the tourney with two Saturday matches, facing Maranatha Baptist and UW-Platteville.

UST topped North Park (Ill.), 25-11, 25-15, 25-15, and beat the host Oshkosh Titans, 25-23, 25-13, 25-23.

The Tommies (17-4) hit .218 in the Oshkosh victory. Ellie Etzell had 11 kills, Whitney Lloyd had nine kills; Julia Spacek had six kills and four blocks; Katharine Mallak had 22 assists; and Madie Kroehler had three aces, six kills and six digs.

St. Thomas hit .350 to top North Park. Mallak had 21 assists; Spacek had eight kills; Grace Duffy had seven kills and three blocks; and Ellie Meyer had 13 digs.
