Tommie Women's Cross Country had a repeat second-place finish Saturday at the MIAC Championships at Carleton College.
No. 9-ranked Carleton (25), No. 14-ranked St. Thomas (68) and St. Olaf (79) placed 1-2-3.
Coach Joe Sweeney's Tommies had eight runners finish within 40 seconds and place in the top 26.
Sophomore Olivia Moll placed 11th in 22:33 to lead six Tommies finishing in the top 20.
Sara Ness (12th, 22:33), Jenny Launder (13th, 22:36), Katie Breuckman (15th, 22:42), Sara Miller (17th, 22:47), Molly Clarke (19th, 22:55), Carly Scheuerman (25th, 23:21) and Martha Hubbell (26th, 23:13) were the Purple's next seven finishers.
For Ness and Launder, it's their third consecutive top-20 conference finish. For Breuckman, it was her fourth top-30 finish in a row.
Miller improved 62 places from her 2018 MIAC meet performance.
The Purple will compete Nov. 16 at the NCAA regional race at Wartburg (Iowa) College.
