Tommie baseball and softball is preparing for a busy weekend of play, Thursday through Sunday May 3.

St. Thomas (19-13) plays one nine-inning game today at UW-Superior at 4 p.m; another nine-inning game Friday at No. 11-ranked Wartburg (Iowa) at 7 p.m. in Waterloo, Iowa; and two MIAC games Sunday at home against Augsburg.
On Sunday, the Toms can secure an MIAC playoff berth with two wins, or one victory and one St. Mary's loss in its two home games against first-place Bethel.
Superior is 6-29 on the season. Wartburg won the Iowa Conference title and brings a 30-9 record into Friday's game.

St. Thomas (32-8) opens MIAC playoff action Friday at Bethel in the four-team, double-elimination tournament.
UST is in the playoffs for the 12th time in the 12-year history of the event and is 11-for-11 in team championships and a 35-1 all-time record.
The Tommies have a five-game winning streak and are tied for third in the conference and will face top-seed Bethel at 3 p.m., and play against Saturday.
