St. Thomas Athletic Communications

One of two NCAA Division I institutions in the state of Minnesota, the University of St. Thomas Athletic Communications office assists answers all media requests for Tommie coaches and student-athletes.

The department seeks to foster a positive relationship with all media in conjunction with the overall policies of the NCAA and each of the four conferences the Tommies call home. The ultimate goal is to ensure a professional working environment, the delivery of accurate and timely information, and to accommodate the goals of the media and the institution.

MEDIA POLICY
The St. Thomas athletic communications media policy highlights all pertinent information regarding coaches and student-athlete access, accreditation information, and guidelines.

EMAIL DISTRIBUTION
Previews, recaps, stories and other information are emailed to media by the athletic communications office. Media members that would like to be added to the St. Thomas Athletics e-mail distribution lists should reach out to a communications contact to be included in future releases.

MEDIA CREDENTIALS
All members of the office follow the guidelines set forth by the NCAA and its respective conferences in governing the issuance of credentials. All media credential requests should be submitted prior to the event date. Media that receive approval to attend a St. Thomas athletic competition will be issued parking instructions and a credential. Additional credentials will be needed for on court/field photography access. To make that request, please fill out the On Field Photography Access form. 

INTERVIEW REQUESTS
Media wishing to interview St. Thomas student-athletes should contact the communications office with their requests. Phone numbers for players will not be provided. Please do not contact a player or coach without scheduling the interview through the communications office. Members of the media who reach out directly to St. Thomas student-athletes or coaches without prior approval may face suspension or revocation of credentials.
