Tommies fall 2-1 in battle with Phoenix

Jacobson scored lone Tommie goal, her third of the season
ST. PAUL, MINN.- The St. Thomas Tommies (2-4-1) fall to the Green Bay Phoenix (2-5-1) 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at South Field. Mackenzie Jacobson scored in the 85th minute to get the Tommies on the board.

SCORING SUMMARY
First Half: Green Bay got on the board first, scoring in the fourth minute. CJ Fredkove and Sophia Barjesteh each recorded a shot on goal in the first half.
Second Half: Green Bay scored their second goal in the 62nd minute off a corner kick that bounced off a number of Phoenix before finding the back of the net. That goal gave Green Bay a 2-0 lead. Mackenzie Jacobson then scored for the Tommies in the 85th minute to make the score 2-1.
TOP TOMMIES
Mackenzie Jacobson (Rosemount, Minn) scored her third goal of the season.
CJ Fredkove (Stillwater, Minn.) had two of the three Tommie shots on goal.

The Tommies will hit the road for the final non-conference matchup of the season against Western Illinois. Kick-off is Sept. 18th at 4 p.m. in Macomb, Ill.
