Women's Soccer storms to eighth victory in row

Brie Bourdage and McKenna Peplinski scored first-half goals to spark No. 17-ranked St. Thomas Women's Soccer to Saturday's 3-0 home defeat of Macalester in MIAC action at South Fied.

Sophomore Ellie Eskierka -- a transfer from Division I South Dakota -- contributed her first collegiate goal. Mallory DeBoom had two assists for the Tommies (8-1 overall, 4-0 MIAC).

Senior All-America Mallory DeBoom recorded two assists.

UST lost its opener on August 31, 2-0, to ranked Wheaton (Ill.). Coach Sheila McGill's team completed an 8-0 run through September play in which it outscored opponents 29-2. 

Sarah Pasternak was in goal Saturday to record her team's sixth shutout of the season.

The Toms play Wednesday at St. Mary's.
