The Tommies scored four power-play goals in ending a three-game losing streak. Nick Pernula had three assists and Nate Ryan had a goal and two assists.
Ryan Mensing had 24 saves for the Blugolds, who went 0-for-6 on the power play.
It was the first shutout of the season for the Toms, who also beat the Blugolds 2-1 in their season opener five weeks ago.
St. Thomas is off for three weeks until the Dec. 29-30 tournament hosted by SUNY-Oswego.
